Light The Night 

Shore to Shore Community Federal Credit Union participated in Wyandotte's 2011 Light The Night Walk for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society on October 14th. S2SCFCU employees and family members participated on a team. The staff held a bowling fundraiser on September 30th to raise funds for this important charity. We want to thank our generous members who bought pin-ups, our employees who donated gift baskets & prizes and everybody that participated in this worthy cause.

Relay for Life 

Shore to Shore Community Federal Credit Union participated in the 2011 Woodhaven Relay for Life event on June 4th and 5th. S2SCFCU empolyees and family members participated on our team. The staff held two bake sales, made luminaries and sold our Colors of Cancer bracelets to raise funds. We want to thank our generous members who bought goodies for our 2011 bake sales held on May 26th & May 27th, and June 1st, 2nd & 3rd 2011 to raise funds for this worthy cause.

We would like to thank everyone who supported or walked in the 2011 Woodhaven Relay for Life. Shore to Shore Community Federal Credit Union donated over $1600 for the event and received a Silver Team Plaque. It’s never too late to donate. National Kidney Foundation Zoo Walk

 

Once again the staff of S2SCFCU participated in the Detroit Zoo Walk on May 15th, 2011 for the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan. We had two bake sales to raise funds and we sold adorable monkey pin-ups for a dollar donation at all three branches. Between the two bake sales our team raised almost $1200. On Friday May 6th a bowling fundraiser was also held where lots of great items were raffled. All together our team raised just over $1700 for this worthy cause. Click here if you wish to donate, it's never too late!

 

IslandFest on Beautiful Grosse Ile

Shore to Shore Community Federal Credit Union participated in the 2011 IslandFest on June 3rd thru June 5th, 2011. The 2011 IslandFest,  was held on the scenic island of Grosse Ile. This outdoor festival is one of the first community festivals in southeastern Michigan. This year’s festival marked the 27th time that residents have come together to offer this quality family friendly event showcasing the community’s civic pride for all to share in during a very special three day period. Shore to Shore partnered with Opportunity Grosse Ile and the Welcome Home! Center again in 2011. We provide Opportunity Grosse Ile with a booth at the main venue for IslandFest at the historic Grosse Ile Airport. Come join us for a great time.

 

Andy Ross Charity Motorcycle Ride

Shore to Shore Community Federal Credit Union is a proud sponsor of this important local charity!


Trenton Firefighters Charities sponsors and host the Andy Ross Charity Motorcycle Ride - which was held June 18th! This was the 11th anniversary Andy Ross Charity Ride! The ride started at Elizabeth Park in Trenton, MI. at Noon sharp. Click here for details about this annual charity motorcycle ride!


Trenton Mid-Summer Festival

Join over 150,000 visitors, over 200 artists and craftsmen, for the City of Trenton's 36th year on West Jefferson in the Riverfront Business District. The festival runs from Friday July 8th through Sunday July 10th, 2011. Visit the children's playmarket and a popular array of sporting events including volleyball and horseshoes. S2SCFCU has provided a booth and partnered with Trenton High School's Athletic Booster Club to help raise funds for the Booster Club.

This street festival has all kinds of activities from live music, arts & crafts, street vendors, bingo, beer tent, sports tournaments and a Kids Korner.

 

Join Shore to Shore in helping to raise funds for the Woodhaven High School's Class of 2012. Visit our booth at the 2011 Uncle Sam Jam held at Woodhaven's Civic Center Park. Take your chances at winning several gift baskets and prizes. Next year's seniors and their parents will raise money for the many events snd activities the class of 2012 will experience during their senior year.

This is the second year for Woodhaven's Uncle Sam Jam Festival. This festival is 'jam' packed with free concerts, carnival rides and games, a petting zoo  and a spectacular fireworks display on Friday July 8th at dusk. We hope to see you there!

 

Roar on the River

This waterfront event held at Elizabeth Park in Trenton is one of the most exciting events that the Downriver community residents experience and that S2SCFCU sponsors. This 61 year event offered by the Trenton Rotary showcases SST 120 and SST 45 UI M/APBA World Championship outboard hydroplane boat racing. Besides the boat races many other fun event s like Rock the River Music Festival, “A Taste of the Races” featuring Downriver’s finest restaurants serving fabulous cuisine, Roar in the Park Car Show and so much more. The festival is the weekend of July 22nd through the 24th, 2011. 

 

Colors of Cancer

The staff at Shore to Shore Community Federal Credit Union has been wearing the different Colors of Cancer on Wednesdays during different months of 2011. Every color represents a different form of cancer and its awareness. The staff also donates money to several different charities that support cancer research and help the fight to find a cure.
